Meet Ashley
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
My name is Ashley Finch, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) providing counseling services to adults throughout North Carolina. I earned both my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master of Social Work from North Carolina State University.
Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of mental health settings, gaining experience supporting individuals facing diverse life challenges and mental health concerns. My work is grounded in a commitment to empowering clients, promoting healing and self-growth, and supporting long-term mental wellness. I strive to help individuals build healthier coping skills, strengthen relationships, and improve their overall quality of life through compassionate and personalized care.

Services
Perinatal & Postpartum Therapy
Whether you are preparing for parenthood, adjusting to life after birth, or coping with reproductive challenges, therapy can provide meaningful support and connection during this important stage of life.
As a therapist with specialized training and certification in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International, I provide compassionate and evidence-based support for individuals navigating these experiences.
Perinatal and postpartum mental health concerns can affect anyone, and seeking support is an important step toward healing and balance. I work with individuals experiencing postpartum depression, anxiety, birth trauma, infertility struggles, pregnancy loss, adjustment to parenthood, and the emotional stressors that can arise during pregnancy and the postpartum period.

Life Coaching & Life Transitions
My goal is to help clients build on their existing strengths while encouraging self-discovery, emotional resilience, and personal growth. I strive to support individuals in improving relationships, navigating social and peer interactions, and managing both expected and unexpected life challenges with greater confidence and balance. Through a supportive, relatable, and affirming therapeutic relationship, I aim to help clients develop practical, realistic skills that can be applied in everyday life to support lasting mental and emotional well-being.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Many of our sessions incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based approach that focuses on the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. CBT helps individuals identify unhelpful or distorted thought patterns that may contribute to emotional distress and replace them with healthier, more balanced ways of thinking.
Together, we work to better understand how past experiences, relationships, and psychosocial influences shape current patterns and responses. By increasing self-awareness and “connecting the dots” between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, clients can develop practical coping strategies, improve emotional well-being, and create meaningful, lasting changes that support a healthier and more fulfilling quality of life.

What To Expect From Our First Session
I understand the importance of finding the right therapist for you. Unloading a life’s worth of topics can be overwhelming, and I’m here to help you navigate that and begin a collaborative relationship to promote positive changes in your life. You deserve JOY along with understanding yourself better and prioritizing your mental health. We will work together to come up with a collaborative plan, first identifying your therapy goals and understanding your life experiences and history. Sometimes, this is the first time an individual gets to tell their whole story, free of judgement and bias, and I want our first session to be at a comfortable pace. The ultimate goal is to gain empowerment through understanding the connection of your thoughts, feelings, and emotions to begin a new path forward.
